Welcome back Cincinnati State!

Everyone have a nice holiday? I certainly enjoyed having a few days off and now I am ready to get back to work. I just wish it weren’t so cold again. That little taste of spring weather was a tease. That in mind, I thought you might like this glimpse of campus on a nice spring day. Gives you something to look forward too, right?

Happy facial hair!

Look! Santa brought Facial Hair Friday early this week! Anyone know who this jolly gift-giver from Christmas past is?

We at the archives would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas or a Happy Festivus if you are so inclined.

Winter!

Think General Winter will be marching his troops through again before we go on break? I think I’ve had all I can take this year. You’ll have to forgive me–I’m still a California girl at heart.

So tell me, what is the most epic snowfall you remember from your time at Cincinnati State? I’m curious. Indulge me!

Who’s afraid of a little snow?

I turned up this little gem looking for pictures of snow on campus today. I can’t tell where it was taken though. Any ideas? Also, can anyone tell me what kind of car that is?

It’s awfully quiet here today!

Meet Charles Francatelli, author of A Practical Guide to the Culinary Art and one of the stars of a collection we just finished processing.

This collection of research materials, given to the library by Dr. Allen Bernard, contains 75 slides, all of which are now available on Flickr. The bulk of the research appears to have been conducted in 1991 on the subject of 19th century cookery and household management.

Knuckle in aspic anyone?
