History is fun, continued: Cartoons!

Lately I’ve been reading a lot about cartoons in archives. Special Collections at Syracuse University has been working on a 2-year NHPRC grant-funded project: “Cartoons and Cartoonists”. This got me looking through our collection for cartoons. Well, Look what I have to share:

These cartoons by student Tom Green were printed in the Tiger Times student newsletter in 1991.

Cartoon collections are often of great use to historians, artists, publishers and collectors. They have so much to say about the culture, politics and society of their time.

Oh, and by the way, remember that robot arm I posted last week? This is the Victorian version of that.
