Facial Hair…Monday?

Whoops! I was at a conference on Friday and forgot to send out a facial hair post. Here’s your belated whiskers to ponder, and I will attempt to make up for it by throwing in some acid washed jeans as a bonus. Happy Monday folks!

Introducing Technically Speaking: The Cincinnati State Oral History Project

The Archives have embarked on a new project!  Technically Speaking: The Cincinnati State Oral History Project will attempt to capture some of the stories and history of the college.

Cover of student handbook, 1978

According to the Oral History Association, “Oral history is a field of study and a method of gathering, preserving and interpreting the voices and memories of people, communities, and participants in past events. Oral history is both the oldest type of historical inquiry, predating the written word, and one of the most modern, initiated with tape recorders in the 1940s and now using 21st-century digital technologies.”

We are in the process of identifying candidates to be interviewed for the project.  Our goal is to interview candidates from a wide variety of departments and classifications (i.e. faculty, staff, administrators), who have had a hand in shaping the college over the years.  If you are interested in participating, please contact us at archives@cincinnatistate.edu or (513) 569-4688.

Facial Hair Friday!

Happy Friday to you, friends! We have identified the gentleman in the front but the prankster behind him remains nameless at the moment. I am also curious as to the date of this photo. Have a great weekend!
